| Coast Guard medevacs fisherman 160 miles off Cape Canaveral |

CAPE CANAVERAL, Wayne Tweety, 45 was aboard the Southern Lady, homeported in New Bedford, Mass., when he recieved a puncture wound to his right arm and was in need of immediate medical attention. A crewmember aboard the 63-foot vessel relayed a mayday to Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville, Fla., search and rescue coordinators via VHF radio for assistance. An HH-60 helicopter crew from Air Station Clearwater, Fla., immediately launched to assist the fisherman. Tweety was provided initial medical attention en route to
